The Lajolla farms boasts panoramic coastal views and gorgeous sandy beaches, it’s no wonder that La Jolla Farms is one of the most affluent communities in all of San Diego. The community of La Jolla Farms sits on the cliffs directly above Blacks Beach, with the prestigious UCSD campus backing the neighborhood.
This prime location was at one time an equestrian area and quickly made it a popular spot, and mansions soon began dotting the cliff tops. It is said that the Black family once owned all of La Jolla Farms and used it to raise horses. Eventually, the property was sold in lots that offer some of the best views imaginable.
For decades, residents of La Jolla Farms have used keys to access Black’s Beach from a winding road that traces a course up the hillside to a locked gate. The keys are coveted for their convenient access to a beach that is known for good surf.
The homes are large, gated estates, many of them with pools and tennis courts, and almost all the homes are 6000 square feet or more. Lot sizes range from half acres to about five acres, and some homes have dazzling views of the stark and rugged terrain overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the famed Black’s Beach.
